About

Rabisqued: History & Characteristics

Edson Silva

Handwriting

Open Source

Rabisqued font is a handwriting typeface with brush rough letterforms that scribble with raw, sketchy personality. Each character displays quick, unrefined strokes with spontaneous character suggesting rapid notation and unpolished energy. This brush rough style suits sketch content, raw creative branding, and designs requiring typography with deliberate imperfection. The scribbled reference emphasizes raw spontaneity. For designers creating sketch-style content, Rabisqued delivers appropriate raw character. Complements sketch palettes.

Rabisqued was crafted by Edson Silva. The typeface reflects a focus on typographic detail, visible in its letterform construction and optical balance.

As a Handwriting typeface in the Vox-ATypI Scripts classification, Rabisqued features disconnected or loosely connected letterforms and irregular stroke weight from natural hand pressure. These optical characteristics make it well-suited for packaging for artisanal and handmade products.

Rabisqued is available in a single weight, offering focused typographic consistency for both digital and print applications, with 3 font pairings curated. Standard Latin character coverage serves the majority of Western typographic workflows.
