About

The Story of Pont

Bastos Agrt

Sans Serif

Open Source

Pont font is an art deco condensed geometric sans-serif channeling bridge and infrastructure aesthetics for architectural typography. This structural typeface delivers strong presence through narrow proportions and geometric precision, suitable for architecture firms, engineering companies, and infrastructure projects. Pont works effectively for construction signage, architectural presentations, and civic communications. The condensed art deco character adds historical gravitas. Particularly suited for architecture and civil engineering. Pairs with technical companions.

Pont was designed by Bastos Agrt. The typeface demonstrates a commitment to typographic detail, visible in its letterform construction and optical balance.

As a Sans Serif typeface in the Vox-ATypI Lineal classification, Pont features no serif extensions on stroke terminals and stroke contrast ranging from monolinear to subtly modulated. These optical characteristics make it well-suited for wayfinding, signage, and information design.

Pont is available in a single weight, offering focused typographic consistency for both digital and print applications, with 3 font pairings curated. Standard Latin character coverage serves the majority of Western typographic workflows.
