Oxygen was crafted by Vernon Adams. The typeface's No serif extensions and Uniform or optically corrected proportions reflect a design philosophy optimized for Contemporary sans-serif design.

As a Neo-grotesque sans-serif in the Vox-ATypI Lineal family, Oxygen neo-grotesque sans-serif tradition. Its no serif extensions on stroke terminals and stroke contrast ranging from monolinear to subtly modulated make it a strong fit for corporate identity systems requiring neutrality.
