Accessibility & Usability

Accessibility Score

Good Accessibility

Using Kupika Accessibly

Kupika achieves a good accessibility rating, performing reliably for both paragraph text and interface elements at standard sizes. Ornate connections between letters impair word-shape recognition. Reserve for decorative headlines and provide a legible alternative for critical information.

Kupika Legibility Characteristics

Kupika draws legibility from its connected letterforms with flowing joins between glyphs and strong stroke contrast from pointed-pen angle of attack. These characteristics help readers distinguish similar glyphs such as I, l, and 1 at a range of sizes.

Readability Profile: Kupika

Legible in short bursts at medium-to-large sizes. The connected joins and flourishes make extended reading at body sizes impractical. Use at 16 px minimum for body text, and maintain 1.5 line-height to support comfortable reading rhythm.

Visual Comfort with Kupika

Kupika provides a focused weight range that maintains consistent typographic color across paragraphs. Balanced stroke modulation keeps visual noise low during sustained reading sessions.

Kupika Accessibility Recommendations

Maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text when setting Kupika. Use font sizes of at least 16 px for paragraph copy and line spacing of 1.5 or greater. Test Kupika at 200% browser zoom to confirm line breaks and layout integrity remain intact.

Best Practices for Using Kupika

Pair with a Transitional serif or refined sans-serif. Avoid combining with handwriting or calligraphic faces to prevent stylistic confusion. A focused set of pairings helps designers find compatible companions for Kupika. Establish hierarchy through size, spacing, and color rather than multiplying font families. Serve Kupika in WOFF2 format for optimal load performance and broad browser compatibility.
