Gelato font is a rough brush calligraphic handwriting typeface by Alpaprana Studio designed for textured sweet display applications. This dynamic typeface delivers distressed brush presence suited for dessert branding, artisanal food packaging, and editorial content requiring rough brush personality with sweet character. Gelato excels in ice cream shop signage, sweet treat packaging, and food content where rough brush calligraphy creates artisanal delicious associations. The rough texture adds craft authenticity while calligraphic quality provides refined warmth. Designers seeking rough brush calligraphy for food branding will find Gelato delivers appropriate sweet authenticity. Works well alongside clean sans-serifs for balanced dessert design systems.

Gelato comes from the work of Alpaprana Studio. The typeface brings careful attention to typographic detail, visible in its letterform construction and optical balance.

As a Handwriting typeface in the Vox-ATypI Scripts classification, Gelato features disconnected or loosely connected letterforms and irregular stroke weight from natural hand pressure. These optical characteristics make it well-suited for personal branding and lifestyle blogs.

Gelato is available in a single weight, offering focused typographic consistency spanning screen and print contexts, with 3 font pairings curated. Standard Latin character coverage serves the majority of Western typographic workflows.
