The Story of Committee

Alec Dunn

Sans Serif

Open Source

Committee Typeface font is a retro sans-serif family channeling vintage institutional aesthetics for distinctive typography. This characterful typeface evokes mid-century civic design, suitable for government communications, educational materials, and brands embracing nostalgic authority. Committee works effectively for historical projects, political campaigns, and heritage institutions. Particularly suited for civic and institutional applications. Pairs with period-appropriate companions.

Committee was designed by Alec Dunn. The typeface shows dedication to typographic detail, visible in its letterform construction and optical balance.

As a Sans Serif typeface in the Vox-ATypI Lineal classification, Committee features no serif extensions on stroke terminals and stroke contrast ranging from monolinear to subtly modulated. These optical characteristics make it well-suited for screen-first digital products and web applications.

Committee is available in a single weight, offering focused typographic consistency for both digital and print applications, with 4 curated font pairings available. Standard Latin character coverage serves the majority of Western typographic workflows.
