Cokanut was created by Tapiwanashe Sebastian Garikayi. The typeface demonstrates a commitment to typographic detail, visible in its letterform construction and optical balance.

As a Handwriting typeface in the Vox-ATypI Scripts classification, Cokanut features disconnected or loosely connected letterforms and irregular stroke weight from natural hand pressure. These optical characteristics make it well-suited for pull quotes and editorial accent text.

Cokanut is available in a single weight, offering focused typographic consistency across digital and print workflows, with 3 font pairings curated. Standard Latin character coverage serves the majority of Western typographic workflows.
