Accessibility & Usability

Accessibility Score

Adequate Accessibility

Butcherman Accessibility Profile

Butcherman has limited accessibility at small sizes due to reduced character differentiation, so reserve it for headlines and display contexts. Decorative features may reduce legibility for users with cognitive disabilities. Always provide sufficient size contrast between display and body text.

Legibility Analysis: Butcherman

Butcherman draws legibility from its tight spacing optimized for large point sizes and exaggerated contrast, weight, or decorative features. These characteristics help readers distinguish similar glyphs such as I, l, and 1 at a range of sizes.

Butcherman in Context: Readability

Designed exclusively for sizes above 24 pt. Display faces sacrifice small-size legibility for visual impact and personality at headline scale. Use at 16 px minimum for body text, and maintain 1.5 line-height to support comfortable reading rhythm.

Butcherman for Long-Form Content

Butcherman provides a focused weight range that maintains consistent typographic color across paragraphs. Balanced stroke modulation keeps visual noise low during sustained reading sessions.

Butcherman Accessibility Recommendations

Maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text when setting Butcherman. Use font sizes of at least 16 px for paragraph copy and line spacing of 1.5 or greater. Test Butcherman at 200% browser zoom to confirm line breaks and layout integrity remain intact.

Butcherman Usage Guidelines

Anchor with a neutral text serif or sans-serif. The display face should carry personality while the text face carries readability. A focused set of pairings helps designers find compatible companions for Butcherman. Establish hierarchy through size, spacing, and color rather than multiplying font families. Serve Butcherman in WOFF2 format for optimal load performance and broad browser compatibility.
